Owls have been a symbol of wisdom and teaching throughout history, dated as far back as Ancient Greece. In literature, owls were sent to provide wisdom desperately sought after by troubled and confused people. Grants Ink’s owl symbolizes our goal of demystifying the grant seeking process by providing clear and cohesive information to the organizations we represent, so they can in turn receive funds needed to support their crucial work. Since we place a huge importance on meeting deadlines, we named our owl Horace, which In Latin means timekeeper – so he’s there always making sure we meet deadlines!
